Super light jets are among the aircraft Turks and Caicos Jet Charter arranges for trips to and from Turks and Caicos. The types we arrange seat 6 to 10 passengers, with published ranges from 1,840 to 2,560 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.
Typical Aircraft
The types we arrange in this category are Embraer Phenom 300, IAI Westwind I, IAI Westwind II, Learjet 45, Learjet 75 and Pilatus PC-24.
When a Super Light Jet Fits a Turks and Caicos Trip
Super light jets are the step up when a light jet is a little short on range or cabin, such as a full flight from Toronto, Chicago or Dallas with a week’s luggage on board.
Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 6 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.
Whether a particular aircraft can use a particular island airport on your date is the operator’s call for that aircraft, its weight and the day’s conditions, and your advisor will confirm it before anything is booked.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Turks and Caicos-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Every flight into Turks and Caicos from the United States or Canada is an international trip, so you land first at an airport that can clear you through customs: Providenciales, Grand Turk or South Caicos. Almost every private flight lands at Providenciales, officially Howard Hamilton International Airport, where private aviation terminals clear you in away from the main airline hall, and a late arrival there can be arranged in advance. North Caicos, Salt Cay and Pine Cay only take flights from within the territory, Parrot Cay has no airstrip, and Ambergris Cay’s private airport is open by prior permission. The islands are on the same time as New York all year, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with September usually the most active month.
