Turks and Caicos VIP Airliner Charter

VIP airliners are among the aircraft Turks and Caicos Jet Charter arranges for trips to and from Turks and Caicos. The types we arrange seat 8 to 172 passengers, with published ranges from 1,645 to 7,800 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.

Typical Aircraft

The types we arrange in this category are Airbus A320 (VIP), Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus ACJ318, Airbus ACJ318 Elite, Airbus ACJ319, Airbus ACJ320, Airbus ACJ321, Boeing 727-251 VIP, Boeing 737-200 (VIP), Boeing 757 VIP, Boeing 787-9 (VIP), Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), Bombardier CRJ-200, Bombardier CRJ-200 VIP, Challenger 850 and McDonnell Douglas MD-83.

When a VIP Airliner Fits a Turks and Caicos Trip

VIP airliners take the Turks and Caicos groups that outgrow a heavy jet, such as wedding parties, company retreats and large family celebrations. Once the group runs past nineteen passengers, the trip no longer falls under FAR Part 135, the FAA’s rules for on-demand, for-hire charter. Those flights operate under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent, which generally carries stricter crew and operating requirements than both Part 91 and Part 135. Fewer of these aircraft are available, so they usually need more notice.

Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 17 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.

Whether a particular aircraft can use a particular island airport on your date is the operator’s call for that aircraft, its weight and the day’s conditions, and your advisor will confirm it before anything is booked.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Turks and Caicos-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Every flight into Turks and Caicos from the United States or Canada is an international trip, so you land first at an airport that can clear you through customs: Providenciales, Grand Turk or South Caicos. Almost every private flight lands at Providenciales, officially Howard Hamilton International Airport, where private aviation terminals clear you in away from the main airline hall, and a late arrival there can be arranged in advance. North Caicos, Salt Cay and Pine Cay only take flights from within the territory, Parrot Cay has no airstrip, and Ambergris Cay’s private airport is open by prior permission. The islands are on the same time as New York all year, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with September usually the most active month.
