Turks and Caicos Private Jet Charter for Pets

Turks and Caicos Jet Charter arranges private flights for clients bringing their pets to the islands, whether that is a small dog joining a week in Grace Bay or a cat and a bird coming down for the whole winter at a second home.

Your pet travels in the cabin with you

On a private flight, your pet stays with you in the cabin for the whole trip. You board at a private terminal, so there is no crowded concourse to cross with a carrier, and an older or nervous animal has a much calmer day.

Not every aircraft takes animals. The operator sets the pet policy for each aircraft, so on the first call, tell us what kind of animal is coming, its breed and weight, and whether it flies in a crate. We will then look only at aircraft whose operators accept your pet.

Paperwork for Turks and Caicos

Every flight from the US or Canada into the islands is international. Turks and Caicos has its own entry requirements for animals, and some breeds are not allowed in, so check with your veterinarian and start on the paperwork early. Your advisor will tell you what the operator needs to see on its side.

Seasonal stays and the flight home

Homeowners who spend the winter on the islands often bring their pets for the season and fly back together in the spring. The flight home has its own rules for animals entering the US or Canada, so check those with your veterinarian before you leave the mainland. Horses and other large animals usually travel on a different kind of flight, so take a look at our air cargo charters and tell us what needs to fly.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Turks and Caicos-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Every flight into Turks and Caicos from the United States or Canada is an international trip, so you land first at an airport that can clear you through customs: Providenciales, Grand Turk or South Caicos. Almost every private flight lands at Providenciales, officially Howard Hamilton International Airport, where private aviation terminals clear you in away from the main airline hall, and a late arrival there can be arranged in advance. North Caicos, Salt Cay and Pine Cay only take flights from within the territory, Parrot Cay has no airstrip, and Ambergris Cay’s private airport is open by prior permission. The islands are on the same time as New York all year, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with September usually the most active month.
