Turks and Caicos Jet Charter can arrange catering for your private flight to or from the islands, from coffee and pastries on an early departure to a full meal on the longer flight down from Toronto or Chicago. Most charter flights carry complimentary drinks and snacks, and anything beyond that is ordered for your trip.
Matching the menu to the flight
South Florida is about 500 nautical miles from Providenciales, and a light meal usually suits a flight of that length. From New York, Boston or the Midwest the trip is much longer, and a proper meal makes more sense. What can be served also depends on the aircraft. A large cabin has a galley that can heat and plate a meal, while some smaller aircraft have very little room for food at all. Your advisor will tell you what the aircraft type you will be flying on can handle.
Allergies and dietary needs
Please tell us about catering before we quote, along with any allergies, kosher or other religious requirements, children’s meals or special diets. Those details need to be in the order from the start, because the caterer needs time to prepare them properly. Whether you would like champagne and a steak dinner or a simple deli sandwich, we will pass the request to the caterer exactly as you give it to us.
Catering for the flight home
The catering for your return flight is ordered on Providenciales. Give us your order a few days before you leave, so the caterer has time to source what you ask for. If you plan to bring your own food or wine into Turks and Caicos, remember that fresh fruit and vegetables have to be declared to customs when you land. Larger aircraft generally have bigger galleys, so if a full meal matters on a long flight, compare the cabins on our passenger aircraft pages.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Turks and Caicos-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Every flight into Turks and Caicos from the United States or Canada is an international trip, so you land first at an airport that can clear you through customs: Providenciales, Grand Turk or South Caicos. Almost every private flight lands at Providenciales, officially Howard Hamilton International Airport, where private aviation terminals clear you in away from the main airline hall, and a late arrival there can be arranged in advance. North Caicos, Salt Cay and Pine Cay only take flights from within the territory, Parrot Cay has no airstrip, and Ambergris Cay’s private airport is open by prior permission. The islands are on the same time as New York all year, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with September usually the most active month.
