Turks and Caicos Sporting Event Private Jet Charter

Turks and Caicos Jet Charter arranges flights to sporting events for fans, sponsors and companies hosting their clients, whether you are flying out of the islands to a game or bringing a group down for a tournament.

Flying from Providenciales to a game

Many homeowners on the islands still follow a team back home. Turks and Caicos keeps the same time as New York all year, so a 7 p.m. start in the Northeast is 7 p.m. on your watch in Grace Bay. New York is about 1,150 nautical miles from Providenciales, and Charlotte and Atlanta are under 1,000.

The flight home needs the most planning. The airport at Providenciales is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. If you want to fly back on the night of the game, tell us when you book, because a later arrival has to be arranged in advance.

Bringing a group to the islands for an event

The Wine Cellar Golf & Fishing Tournament is held on Providenciales in March, and the Big South Regatta is held on South Caicos in late May. March is also spring break and Canadian March Break, one of the busiest stretches of the year on the islands, so book as soon as your dates are fixed.

South Caicos has been a port of entry since 2025. Whether your aircraft can use it is the operator’s call for that aircraft, that weight and that day, and your advisor will confirm it before you book.

Groups of every size

A few friends heading to a playoff game will usually fit on a light or midsize jet, while a company taking clients to a championship may need an airliner. Most private charter flights run under FAR Part 135, the FAA’s rules for on-demand, for-hire charter. Once the group runs past nineteen passengers, the trip calls for an airliner-size aircraft and no longer falls under FAR Part 135. Those flights operate under FAR Part 121 or a foreign equivalent, which generally carries stricter crew and operating requirements than both Part 91 and Part 135.

Give us the headcount early, along with any golf bags or fishing gear. If you are moving a team and its staff, our page on sports team charter flights covers that kind of trip.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Turks and Caicos-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Every flight into Turks and Caicos from the United States or Canada is an international trip, so you land first at an airport that can clear you through customs: Providenciales, Grand Turk or South Caicos. Almost every private flight lands at Providenciales, officially Howard Hamilton International Airport, where private aviation terminals clear you in away from the main airline hall, and a late arrival there can be arranged in advance. North Caicos, Salt Cay and Pine Cay only take flights from within the territory, Parrot Cay has no airstrip, and Ambergris Cay’s private airport is open by prior permission. The islands are on the same time as New York all year, and hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th, with September usually the most active month.
